Asylum started out as a collection of life-size heroic warrior women and strange creatures, but lately it has evolved and stepped out of the darkness and into the light.

The metal maidens have become more elegant and refined, yet keeping that little twinkle of mischief in their copper eyes.

Each sculpture is unique, life-size and made of a variety and combination of metals, such as mild steel, burnt copper, stainless steel, cast bronze and aluminium.

Metal, a cold and lifeless material, is cut, hammered, shaped and welded into organic, living creatures of dreams and nightmares.
